My goal is to create pottery that are an individual work
of art. An object that will become a priceless family
heirloom to be passed on from generation to generation.
The primary medium that I have chosen is porcelain, I
love the smooth textures and shapes that bring out the
best in my crystalline glazes. All of my pottery is hand
thrown on a wheel.
I formulate all my own Zinc Crystalline glazes,
continuously experimenting with different color
combinations. While this is very labor intensive it is also
rewarding. Creating new color combinations is a passion
of mine. It is always a thrill to open the kiln and discover
what the glaze, clay body and heat have produced.
The classic forms of ceramics that have stood the test of
time are the inspiration for the shape of my pieces.
